Editorial & Listing Policy
Last updated 16 September 2026
How the content here is researched, reviewed, corrected, and kept independent.
Our standard
Everything we publish about TMS has to be traceable to a primary source: a peer-reviewed study, an FDA clearance record, or a published payer coverage policy. If we cannot source a claim, we do not make it.
What we will not publish
- Invented statistics, studies, or quotes.
- Success rates a clinic cannot substantiate.
- Any guarantee of outcome.
- Off-label uses presented as FDA-cleared.
- Content that discourages someone from seeking urgent help.
How articles are made
Each article is researched against current literature, drafted, fact-checked against the cited sources, and reviewed before publication. Citations link out to PubMed, FDA device databases, or CMS coverage documents so you can read the original. Articles carry a publication date and are revisited when clearances or coverage policy change.
Our articles are written for people making decisions about their own care, not for clinicians, and they are general information rather than advice. See our medical disclaimer.
How clinic listings are built
- Discovery. We identify psychiatric practices in New Jersey from public mapping data and public directories.
- Verification. A listing is only published as a TMS provider when the practice's own website, its public profile, or the practice itself states it offers TMS. Practices we cannot verify are held back for manual review rather than guessed at.
- Detail. Address, phone, hours, website and photos come from public data; services, conditions treated and insurance accepted come from the practice's own statements.
- Ownership. A practice can claim its listing and edit it. Edits to services, conditions and insurance go through our review before they go live.
- Maintenance. Listings are refreshed on a schedule, and fields a practice has locked are preserved on refresh.
We never fabricate a clinic, a phone number, an insurer, or a service. A blank field means we do not have verified information — not that the answer is no.
Independence from advertising
Some clinics pay for promoted placement. Promoted listings are labelled everywhere they appear. Paying does not buy a better description, a better review score, a higher position in unpaid results, or favourable coverage in an article. Editorial decisions are made by people with no visibility into who is paying. See our advertiser disclosure.
Reviews
Google reviews are shown as reported by Google. Reviews submitted directly to us are moderated before publication: we check that they describe a genuine first-hand experience, remove personal health details about third parties, and reject anything incentivized or written by a competitor. We do not delete a review because a clinic dislikes it.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us. We verify, correct, and — where the error was material — note the change on the page. Clinics may also request a correction or removal through our listing removal page.
Who we are
TMS Therapy New Jersey is an independent publisher, not a medical practice, a clinic network, or a device manufacturer.
