Privacy Policy

The short version

TMS Therapy New Jersey is a directory, not a medical practice. When you send a consultation request, we pass your details to the clinic or clinics able to help you, and to the clinic's own patient management system. We do not sell your information to data brokers, and we do not use your health-related messages to build advertising profiles.

Who we are

TMS Therapy New Jersey is operated as an independent clinic directory. For any privacy request, write to us through our contact page and put "Privacy request" in the message.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you complete a consultation or listing request, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the town you are looking in, the insurance you mentioned, and anything you choose to write in the message box. You control what goes in that box — please do not include more clinical detail than you are comfortable sharing.

Information collected automatically. Our web host and analytics tools record standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring site, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this to understand which pages are useful and to detect abuse.

Information from clinics. Practice owners who claim a listing give us their name, work email, role and business details.

Why we use it

• To route your request to the clinic or clinics best placed to answer it.
• To follow up with you about that request.
• To detect spam and abusive submissions.
• To measure which pages and towns people need most, so we can improve the site.
• To meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• The clinic you contacted, or clinics matching your request. This is the point of the form. Once a clinic receives your details, that clinic's own privacy policy governs what they do with them.
• Service providers who run the site for us — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, and the customer relationship software clinics use to manage enquiries. They may only process data on our instructions.
• Legal disclosure where required by law, or to protect someone's safety.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

HIPAA and health information

TMS Therapy New Jersey is not a covered entity or a business associate under HIPAA, and this site is not a medical record. Anything you type into a form here is not protected health information in our hands. If you need to discuss clinical detail, do it with the clinic directly through their own secure channels.

How long we keep it

Consultation requests are kept for up to 24 months so we can resolve disputes and measure whether clinics respond. Analytics data is kept in aggregate. Clinic account records are kept while the account is active.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or object to certain processing. New Jersey residents have these rights under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act; California residents have equivalent rights under the CCPA/CPRA. Contact us and we will respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To stop hearing from a clinic, tell that clinic directly, as they hold their own copy of your enquiry.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. TMS is cleared for adolescents aged 15 and older as an add-on treatment for depression; a parent or guardian should make any enquiry on behalf of a minor.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and encrypted storage for clinic credentials. No system is perfect; please do not send sensitive clinical detail through a web form.

Changes

We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
