Hope TMS and Neuropsychiatric Center

“I don't know how much things could change in a span of 8 years but I saw him for the first time in 2012 & I was so happy to have found him. He did a few testings to see what medications my body metabolized better & some other testings (can't remember which). By the time I visited him, I was taking over 5 different meds, he did a revision and took me down to 3 but eventually I had to add Ambien to my treatment. He knew the dosis of one medication needed to be higher, even though it's not recommended but he was right, it completely worked! He also changed my diagnosis, when I started visiting him he did offer TMS but understood my health insurance didn't cover it & that was it. After 2014 I started workingin The Bronx& it was harder traveling to visit him but eventually I needed a better doctor & went back, I preferred traveling from The Bronx into Midtown & get good care. I stopped visiting him in 2017 when I moved back to PR. He always listened to me, my doctor in PR didn't change my medications because I have been doing very well with Dr. Ruiz's treatment. I understand Psychiatrists/Neuropsychiatrists are for pharmacological therapy & the psychologist is the one to help me with emotional therapy Maybe that's why I saw him as an attentive doctor. I hope he still provides the same care level & many others have stories like mines. I'm so grateful for the positive changes I saw afterwards.”

“I'm surprised this practice is still running...legally! First of all he's always late to every appointment...not professional at all. i think he might need a neuropsychiatrist because theres this rumor going around for quite sometime, he hired his own patient. Is that even allowed by the board? This guy has no respect for my time, so why should i respect his time? He never has the same staff im starting to wonder why...its starting to seem fishy....either way someone should complain to the board about the possibility of this man hiring his own patient. Thats too personal...i stopped coming here thankfully there are better psychiatrists who arent shady and punctual but he is not worth it”

“Good doctor, has been helping my brother manage his condition and I've personally witnessed him talking with him for over an hour. Totally not expected with psychiatrist of today who just give you pills and move onto the next one. This doctor cares!”
