“Dr. Gowda is a hard man and not very kind, even TWO members of his staff said so. He overbooks appointments for $$ and won’t spend time with you. I got confused because he talks so fast and then he got mad at me for misunderstanding. He had no intention of actually helping me. There are only 2 members of staff that were kind. Dr. Gowda also prescribed two medication’s without explaining what they were or what they did (and he got quite mad when I asked )and apparently one of them needs routine blood work when you’re supposed to be on it which he said nothing about, which can be dangerous. To get rid of me and stop me complaining, he sent me to a drug rehab place which I am not addicted to anything and called it a higher level of care. According to the staff, he sends a lot of people here he doesn’t want to deal with .This man is a monster and anyone else who wants to join me in a class lawsuit please contact me.”

“My name is Rachael Michaela Runyon, and I am 23 years old, residing in Cape May County. I want to begin by acknowledging that this review is detailed, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. Unfortunately, after my first appointment, I have decided that I will not be returning, and the reason for this decision is due to my interaction with Dr. Gowda. I had looked forward to my initial visit because I was recommended. I struggle with unmanageable social anxiety and depression, and I was hopeful that this visit would be helpful. I want to state I had no issues with any other staff members or employees at the office. They were great and professional. After my session with another doctor, I was told that Dr. Gowda would like to meet me, as he introduces himself to all new patients. While I appreciated this, what followed left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and anxious. Dr. Gowda and I briefly discussed TMS Therapy, but I want to make it clear that I never gave my consent for this treatment, nor did I provide any indication that I was comfortable with TMS Therapy. Despite this, Dr. Gowda instructed the other doctor to set me up for the medication discussed and to “schedule her for TMS Therapy.” This decision was made without my consent, which heightened my anxiety. I never agreed to this treatment plan. I never agreed to TMS Therapy. In a state of panic, I said that I was unsure about proceeding with TMS Therapy, and Dr. Gowda responded by asking, “What are you afraid of?” before laughing….He then added, “Oh right, because you have anxiety.” This interaction, rather than providing comfort or support, left me feeling invalidated and uncared for. It is already incredibly difficult to be vulnerable and open about personal struggles with mental health, and to feel dismissed or misunderstood by a doctor only makes things horribly worse. After my appointment, I felt embarrassed to share my experience with my friends and family because I had been so excited about this visit. I didn’t want to speak negatively about the office, but the treatment I received caused me to question my decision to seek help here, despite having great insurance that fully covers treatments like TMS Therapy. I am writing this review for those who experience social anxiety and find it challenging to advocate for themselves. I hope that Dr. Gowda will consider adjusting his approach when interacting with patients—particularly those with anxiety—so they feel heard… I don’t think I’ve ever written a google review before, but my hope is that it can lead to positive change in how future patients are treated. “Dr Gowda and his staff are simply amazing! I have never been to a Drs office with such sweet, Caring and Compassionate group of ladies and gentlemen! I Highly recommend this office! I have never felt better in 56 years ! Finally feel like my life is in order and I’m about to enjoy my life!!”
