“I am so grateful to and for this place... Dr Sikowitz is a wonderful person, he truly cares, and so does every member of his staff. They are all very empathetic, and they try very hard to make patients feel comfortable. I came to this place in absolute desperation, after 30+ solid years of continuous psychiatric (medication) treatment and various types of talk therapy, some of which helped temporarily but not long-term, and 2022 ended up being the worst year of my life. The TMS Center of NJ helped me to turn this all around, and lift me from a depression so deep... I am just so grateful. I truly feel they helped to save my life. I urge everyone suffering mentally and emotionally to try this, especially if you've tried meds and/or other forms of mental health treatment and they have not worked for you. The TMS treatments initially feel strange, slightly uncomfortable, but they become more and more comfortable as you go along, and for me, after a couple of weeks, it became so soothing I actually fell asleep during some of my sessions. At first it doesn't seem like this would or could happen, but it definitely does. It is nothing like ECT (electroconvulsive therapy), it's completely different, and does not involve shocking. More like a gentle tapping, but it's right onto your head so it's a little uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it, so much so that it becomes really soothing. Best of all, it's very safe, it won't make you sick (as meds did for me), and you'll be surrounded by people who care deeply for their patients. Also, in my opinion, the music they play in the office is AWESOME 🎶”
